  8. WHAT IS IT
  9. The "SendBackWindow-FKEY" is a FKEY that should work in all applications that
  10. handles windows in correct way.  "SendBackWindow-FKEY" is easy to use.
  11. Press the shift+command+5 key combination to send the frontmost window to the
  12. back of the window list. Continue to do this until the window you want to see
  13. becomes the frontmost. This will unfortunately not work for dialogs.

  16. INSTALLATION
  17. First I would like to mention that the "SendBackWindow-FKEY" is supplied with
  18. resource ID 5. You can of course change the ID to avoid conflict with already
  19. installed FKEYs. Installing a FKEY can be done in a couple of ways.

  21. * Use EasyKeys to assign a key combination for execution of the fkey.
  22. * Use some other kind of FKEY executor, like OtherMenu or FkeyStrip.
  23. * Use a specialised FKEY installer, to install the FKEY into the System file.
  24. * Use a general resource tool, like Suitcase, MasterJuggler, or Carpetbag.
  25. * Put the FKEYs suitcase into the Font folder in the System folder. If you
  26.   already have a FKEYs suitcase in your Font folder you can use ResEdit to
  27.   paste the "SendBackWindow-FKEY" resource into it.
  28. * Use ResEdit to paste the "SendBackWindow-FKEY" resource into your System file.

  31. WHY DOESN'T IT WORK
  32. * The FKEY doesn't work if the frontmost window is a modal dialog/window.
  33. * Some applications don't use the right sort of window in some circumstances.
  34.   So the windows looks like regular windows to the user, put says they are modal
  35.   dialogs/windows to the FKEY.

  38. FUTURE FEATURES
  39. * Ability to move the second window from the front to the back, if the frontmost
  40.   window is a modal dialog/window.
